GALA PARTY & FUNDRAISING EVENT

More than 200 attend Gala Fundraising Party

Our Gala Party and Saito Challenge 8 Fundraiser saw a turnout of more than 200 supporters, volunteers and media, helping to raise much-needed donations as well as give a publicity boost in the closing days before Minoru Saito’s scheduled Sept. 28 departure.

The evening featured live Latin music, Samba dancers, and a lottery with a number of sponsor-contributed prizes, including a week-long sailboat charter in Thailand, 3-day “loans” of a BMW and Mini Cooper, 1-year subscriptions to Clearpoint Weather, specially labeled premium wines, and others. Party gifts were handed out to attendees, and a number of sponsor products were on display.

Donation totals are still being tallied, and will be posted soon. The all-volunteer support committee continues to seek donations and asks that anyone who’d like to contribute to this historic effort please contact Hunter Brumfield (in English) or Eiko Brumfield (in Japanese) at this address.

We extend our gratitude and appreciation to everyone who supported the event. The party-cum-fundraising event was a rousing success, thanks to everyone's combined efforts to get out the word, and the actual enthusiastic support provided. The Bayside Yokohama venue was absolutely perfect for our Gala Party!
